I moved to Bozeman, MT in the summer of 1998, after 6 years serving as a submariner in the United States Navy. At that time there was just something about the mountains and wide open spaces of Montana that drew me to Bozeman. I immediately started classes at Montana State University in an effort to achieve my life long goal of earning a degree.

In 2003 I graduated with a B.S. in Business Marketing and like most college grads, I was eager to start applying my knowledge in the real world.  My first job out of college was as Marketing Manager for a professional ski team based out of Bozeman.  My main responsibility was to showcase our sponsor’s brands through the use of our own marketing efforts which included athlete endorsement, our website, press releases, print media and event marketing.

From there I decided to try my hand at sales and management for a corporate media company.  For the next 7 years I helped small business owners across S.E. Idaho and S.W. Montana, gain market exposure through a diverse mix of media including websites, social media, print advertising, search marketing and direct mail. What I found though was that the culture of corporate America didn’t fit with the culture of Montana.

I started Branding Iron Marketing, LLC in 2013, behind the idea of helping small business owners in Bozeman, MT grow their business through increased online exposure.
